WLFI Extends Losing Streak
The decline followed disclosures that President Donald Trump earned more than $580 million from World Liberty Financial, the decentralized finance platform that lists his sons as co-founders.
WLFI went live for trading in September 2025. Following a brief early spike, the coin plummeted and has failed to bounce back.
Currently, the token is down 88% from its all-time high. Roughly $6 billion worth of investors’ wealth has been wiped out since the coin peaked at $0.46.
AirdropAlert founder Morten Christensen, who holds WLFI, told Benzinga that four-fifths of his holdings are locked in a two-year vesting period and that he sees little value in them owing to his skepticism about the project’s potential.
Earlier in May, World Liberty Financial sued cryptocurrency entrepreneur Justin Sun for defamation, following an earlier lawsuit filed by Sun against the company.
