Heidelberg Materials narrowed its expectations for the year while reporting higher revenue for the second quarter.
Revenue rose 6.6% on year in the second quarter on a like-for-like basis to 6.04 billion euros ($6.93 billion).
The German building materials group said it expects its result from current operations for the year to land within a range of 3.40 billion to 3.65 billion euros, compared with its previous expectation of 3.40 billion-3.75 billion euros.
The company's result from current operations--its preferred metric--for the three months through June rose to 1.09 billion euros from 1.05 billion euros a year earlier.
Its result from current operations before depreciation and amortization in the second quarter was 1.42 billion euros, from 1.37 billion euros in the same period a year earlier. Analysts had expected 1.39 billion euros, according to company-compiled estimates.
