Shares of U.S.-listed precious metals mining companies rose, led by Gold Fields, which gained 5.6%. According to Jin10, Harmony Gold rose 7%, Newmont Mining gained 3.8%, and Barrick Gold advanced 4.1%. The SPDR Gold ETF rose 2.3%.
