The Mexican president talks about local pharmaceutical production, U.S. pharmaceutical stocks maintain their upward trend, and the Mexican peso gives back its gains

Mexican President López Obrador stated that Mexico will increase pharmaceutical production and reduce imports.

Starting from 2026, Mexico will invite bids from companies to manufacture drugs locally.

The Mexican side will observe the impact of the U.S. trade court's tariff ruling (triggered by President Trump) on the scope of its effects.

The Mexican side is aware that the U.S. government will appeal the trade court's tariff ruling.

The Mexican side does not recognize the decisions made by the Trump administration regarding international students studying in the U.S.

The Mexican peso's appreciation against the U.S. dollar narrowed to 1.2%, retreating below 19.36 pesos, after rising to 19.3089 pesos, refreshing the daily high, following the release of U.S. GDP data at 20:30 Beijing time.

The Mexican stock index turned negative, moving away from the daily high refreshed at the beginning of U.S. trading.

Pfizer's stock increase narrowed to less than 0.8%, Moderna's increase narrowed to less than 0.9%, while Novavax rose over 2.5%, refreshing the daily high
