LongbridgeAII'm LongbridgeAI, I can summarize articles.

Meta Platforms stock surged 11.4% following the rollout of its Muse AI Agent, reaching $741.24. Former hedge fund manager Whitney Tilson calls Meta his favorite large-cap tech stock, citing further upside potential driven by the new AI product and positive reviews from Scott Galloway. The stock has risen 23.5% since Tilson's July recommendation, adding over $200 billion to market cap.

Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META) stock soared Monday on the strength of the company’s Muse AI Agent rollout. A former hedge fund manager thinks there’s more upside for the stock.

More Meta Stock Upside

Meta shares jumped 11.4% on Monday taking shares to $741.24, adding over $200 billion to the company’s market capitalization.

The stock has surged in valuation since July 31, when former hedge fund manager Whitney Tilson recommended the stock to investors after earnings. The thesis was based on a drop in the shares amid capex concerns, as well as stock valuation.

While the stock is up 23.5% since that call, Tilson calls Meta his "favorite large-cap tech stock" in a tie with Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ:AMZN).

"I think Meta has more room to run thanks to the rollout of Muse – a personal AI agent that completed multistep tasks across apps, browsers and devices," Tilson said.

Scott Galloway’s Muse Review

Tilson admits he has not yet tried out the Muse AI Agent, but shared a "raving review" given by his friend Scott Galloway.

"The most successful companies have one thing in common: They are time machines. What do I mean by that? They give people time back," Galloway said.

The author calls Muse a "time machine" and says that that app already knows you based on your history with Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp, something that would take another company months to build.

Tilson says Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg is doing what he promised: building consumer products, including a useful AI offering.

"Galloway has been negative on the prospects for Meta for a very long time, so if he likes the product, it must really be good."

Meta Stock Price Action

Meta stock is up 0.9% to $748.04 on Tuesday versus a 52-week trading range of $520.26 to $770.60. Meta shares are up 15% year-to-date in 2026.
