The Financial Times of the UK, citing sources, reported that NVIDIA Corporation (NVDA.US) 's H200 chips have been approved for export to China. According to the report, although the US has approved Chinese companies to purchase up to 100,000 H200 chips each, China hopes companies will keep most of the H200 chips deployed outside China to support the development of domestic chip manufacturers. Chinese regulators have informed companies that, apart from a small number of H200 chips allowed to enter China, the chips may also be shipped to Hong Kong for deployment. However, due to Hong Kong's lack of sufficient data centers and power capacity, the situation is unlikely to change in the short term.

NVIDIA Corporation currently has an inventory of about 500,000 H200 chips, mainly supplied to Chinese customers. However, purchases of H200 chips still require separate approval from relevant authorities.
