Will SpaceX Partner with Apple?

$Apple(AAPL.US) SpaceX is preparing for a potential partnership with Apple by adding support for iPhone satellite frequencies in its next-generation satellites. This move could enable Starlink to provide satellite communication services for existing Apple devices. Meanwhile, Apple’s current satellite partner, Globalstar, is reportedly considering selling the company. A potential collaboration between SpaceX and Apple could significantly enhance the satellite connectivity capabilities of the iPhone, offering consumers faster and more comprehensive satellite services. If Apple and SpaceX reach an agreement, consumers who purchase new iPhones and other Apple devices in the coming years will undoubtedly become the biggest beneficiaries of the high-speed connectivity brought by Starlink’s next-generation satellites.
According to a source cited by The Information, Apple plans to add support for non-terrestrial 5G networks (including satellites) to new iPhones as early as next year. This would allow iPhones to gain full internet access via satellite, rather than being limited to a small set of messaging features on the Globalstar network.
Of course, in the short term, it is unlikely that SpaceX will completely replace terrestrial cellular network operators, since satellite connections only work well when users are outdoors with an unobstructed view of the sky.
However, analysts point out that as Musk’s company further consolidates its position through the acquisition of EchoStar’s spectrum, it is becoming increasingly difficult for companies like Apple to bypass SpaceX. What do you think is the likelihood of Apple partnering with SpaceX in the future, and would such a collaboration result in a win-win situation?
