$Corning(GLW.US)
GLW has had a strong run, but after hitting the highs, the stock has pulled back pretty hard. With earnings coming up, I’m not too surprised to see this kind of volatility.
I added to my position a few days ago because I still think the market is underestimating how much optical infrastructure AI data centers are going to need.
High-density optical fiber and advanced glass substrates are becoming more important as AI scales. At some point, the physical infrastructure has to keep up with all that computing power, and I think that’s where GLW has an interesting role to play.
The short-term chart doesn’t look great, but I’m not too focused on that. I’m looking at the bigger picture and I’m willing to sit through some noise and wait for the AI infrastructure cycle to show up in the numbers.
