$VG S&P 500(VOO.US)
The Vanguard S&P 500 ETF (VOO) retraced toward $678.61 as broader equity benchmarks absorb a notable post-earnings pullback. The index is experiencing amplified tactical pressure driven by mega-cap tech earnings misses, high capital expenditure guidance, and intense sector rotation out of high-valuation growth components.
With crucial macro indicators and the upcoming FOMC decision looming, market uncertainty has triggered a sharp spike in fear metrics, pushing the CBOE Volatility Index (VIX) to an intra-day peak of 19+.
Noting that the VIX reached 19+, I actively capitalized on this volatility spike to accumulate more VOO shares, effectively utilizing the dip to lower my average cost-basis. Maintaining a disciplined dollar-cost averaging approach during these broad-market corrections strips emotion out of the equation and maximizes long-term compounding potential.
