The market is panicking over a minor project delay, sending the stock lower on temporary supply chain congestion while ignoring that management actually raised its full-year profit and sales outlook. To me, this is a classic overreaction to a quarterly timing issue.
The bigger picture is that AI data centers simply cannot scale without the cooling and power infrastructure VRT provides. A short-term revenue delay doesn't change the massive structural demand for AI computing capacity.
I'm holding my position and ignoring the emotional selling. Selling a fundamentally strong infrastructure business over a temporary quarterly hiccup is exactly the kind of mistake I want to avoid. I care more about the underlying business than the market's short-term mood.
