Latest earnings triggered a sharp selloff, mainly over guidance, despite solid top-line growth. Wall Street seems focused on a few numbers while overlooking how much data AI is generating.
Storage demand keeps expanding, and WDC remains deeply entrenched in high-capacity HDDs. With only a handful of players able to compete at this scale, the business has a real moat.
When the stock drops, I care less about the market’s mood and more about whether the company’s economics are getting better or worse. In this case, I’m not seeing the thesis break.
