It’s interesting that Genting’s stock price is moving up despite the negative headline for its earnings report. Apparently investors’ sentiments improved because its non-gaming revenue grew 6% yoy despite weaker tourism conditions. The drop in profits was mainly attributable to lower interest income, depreciation and expenditure on asset refresh. Refreshed assets will hopefully bring in more non-gaming revenue when completed.
