Technology Illuminates Mountain Classrooms: NetEase's 'One Screen' AI Classroom Launches in Pu'an, Guizhou
On June 12th, the Ningbo Zhenhai District Public Security Bureau, Zhejiang Zhenhai High School, and NetEase Youdao visited the Pu'an County Dongcheng District Ethnic Senior High School to carry out a teaching assistance activity and the NetEase "One Screen" AI classroom donation event. This is also the sixth county-level high school assisted by the "One Screen" project in collaboration with Zhenhai High School. Following last year's donation of an AI reading space and the establishment of an online teaching platform, this marks another upgrade in the educational support between the two parties.

During the ceremony, NetEase Youdao donated a full set of intelligent teaching equipment to Pu'an County Dongcheng District Ethnic Senior High School, including Youdao AI Learning Machine X20, Youdao AI Q&A Pen, and Youdao Treasure AI Knowledge Base service. Both the hardware and platform are equipped with the first domestic education large model "Ziyue". New products like the AI Q&A Pen are deeply integrated with the DeepSeek-R1 reasoning model, establishing an all-weather, personalized smart teaching scenario for the mountainous school. The principal of Pu'an County Dongcheng District Ethnic Senior High School stated: "This donated smart teaching equipment not only enriches our school's teaching resources but also empowers the classroom with technology, helping teachers and students grow and progress."
Aiming at common pain points for county students such as lack of tutoring from famous teachers after class, difficulty in overcoming weak subjects, and no scenario for oral practice, this AI learning assistance system provides precise solutions. The Youdao AI Q&A Pen SpaceX can scan and solve exercises across all subjects and grades, covering complex question types like geometry diagrams, physics circuit diagrams, and chemical equations. Its blackboard-style video Q&A function can generate exclusive explanatory videos for any question in real-time, restoring the classroom teacher's process of writing while explaining, making the "invisible thought process" visually intuitive. The Youdao AI Learning Machine X20 can achieve interactive Q&A through a smart camera and the AI home tutor "Teacher Xiao P", covering English pronunciation correction, precise identification of math knowledge gaps, and intelligent diagnosis of homework and exams. Youdao Treasure is equipped with a self-developed document parsing engine and a Chinese rendering engine, providing teachers with teaching research material management, traceable AI Q&A, and multimodal content generation services, effectively reducing the burden and increasing efficiency for grassroots teachers.

The value of these AI products goes far beyond just "new equipment"—it allows the teacher explanations and quality resources originally concentrated in top schools to cross mountains and seas via large models and land in county and township classrooms, enabling rural students to also walk alongside AI. Furthermore, teachers from Zhenhai High School also entered classrooms to give demonstration lessons to students, transforming the previously "online-only" famous teacher classes into face-to-face teaching, allowing them to experience a completely different teaching method up close.
