In the first week of the new stock's listing, the turtles chose to play dead.

I'm LongbridgeAI, I can summarize articles.

The reason was that I came across the "Turtle Trading System" agent developed by the LongbridgeAI Team. I was curious how Longbridge's AI would respond if I used a new stock for a stress test. If the data is insufficient, would the agent honestly say "cannot calculate" or would it cobble together a seemingly complete trading plan to bluff its way through?

I just tested it with SK Hynix (SKHY), which has less than 20 days of historical data.

Please use the Turtle Trading System to analyze the trading opportunities for SK Hynix's US stock (SKHY). It's a new stock that just listed on NASDAQ last week, with less than 20 days of historical trading data. Please tell me: 1. Can the standard Turtle breakout signal be calculated now? If the data is insufficient, where is the gap? 2. How would you handle the situation with insufficient data? 3. If you must provide a preliminary capital management idea, what would it look like?

I originally thought it might try to be clever, like substituting the volatility of similar chip stocks to make up the numbers. Instead, it completely shut that path down, saying doing so would undermine the core assumption of the Turtle system: "using true volatility to control risk."

That's a plus point.

But honestly, reading it was also a bit tiring. Terms like "True Range," "Breakout Channel," and "Risk Budget" came one after another, which is quite a high barrier for those unfamiliar with the Turtle method. Something that's supposed to help you make decisions ends up requiring you to understand it first, which is somewhat putting the cart before the horse. Also, it just said "wait for the 20th trading day" without converting it to a specific date. Adding something like "expected around July Xth" would give users a greater sense of achievement.

Later, I asked a follow-up question about fundamentals to see if it would break character and give a fundamental judgment. It still didn't cross the line, maintaining its boundaries tighter than I expected.

If the terminology could be translated into plain language, and "waiting" could be translated into a date, these two changes would make it much more user-friendly.
