The Shanghai Composite Index fell below 3,800 points. Communications and electronics sectors saw deep corrections, while defensive food and beverage sectors rebounded from low levels, leading gains across the market. Kweichow Moutai's stock price briefly broke through its six-month moving average, reaching a two-month high. Shanxi Fenjiu, Angel Yeast, and Gujing Gongjiu rose over 5%, while Tsingtao Brewery rose over 3%. In terms of ETFs, the Huaxia Consumer ETF (510630.SH), which holds a basket of leading baijiu stocks, and the Huaxia Food & Beverage ETF (515170.SH) ranked among the top gainers in the market. According to data, the Huaxia Food & Beverage ETF (515170.SH) is the largest ETF tracking the CSI Sub-sector Food and Beverage Industry Theme Index. It provides balanced coverage of baijiu and mass-market foods. Its constituents include first-tier baijiu leaders (Kweichow Moutai, Wuliangye, Shanxi Fenjiu, Luzhou Laojiao, etc.) and mass-food industry leaders (Yili Shares, Haitian Flavouring, Dongpeng Beverages, Tsingtao Brewery, Yanjing Beer, Angel Yeast, etc.). The Huaxia Consumer ETF (510630.SH) is the sole target tracking the SSE Consumer Index, favoring large-cap blue-chip styles. Huatai Securities pointed out: The food and beverage sector is experiencing a resonance of dual catalysts—sufficient clearing of chip positions and favorable policy winds—marking a transition from continuous bottoming out to stabilization and recovery. 1) On the position side, active fund holdings dropped to 1.5% in Q2 '26, a month-on-month decrease of 2.4 percentage points, shifting from overweight to underweight. This sits at the lowest level since 2012. The overall food and beverage sector remains in an underweight zone, with trading congestion fully released. 2) On the policy side, on July 13, the State Council approved the "15th Five-Year Plan for Expanding Consumption," anchoring a goal of approximately 60 trillion yuan in total retail sales of consumer goods by 2030.
