Physical gold-backed ETFs just recorded six consecutive weeks of fund inflows.
Investors added $10bn during this period, equivalent to 72.2 tonnes of physical gold.
Inflows reached $3.5bn last week alone, marking the strongest weekly inflow since February.
This comes as expectations for a September rate cut have faded, reducing returns on cash and bonds.
Europe led the inflows, followed by North America.
Total holdings now stand at 4,114 tonnes, less than 2% away from all-time highs.
