# Taiwan Semiconductor surged over 5%, hitting a record high, as Morgan Stanley raised its target price.

Taiwan Semiconductor rose by about 5.2%, hitting a new intraday historical high of $148.97, with a market value exceeding $770 billion.

Morgan Stanley raised the target price of the stock from NT$758 to NT$850, confirming a buy rating; Taiwan Semiconductor is also the bank's top pick.

Morgan Stanley analyst Charlie Chan wrote that after the bank's technology, media, and telecommunications conference, the target price for Taiwan Semiconductor was raised; at the conference, "we are optimistic about the company's long-term growth and pricing power."

Industry surveys show strong demand for AI semiconductor orders, and it appears that generative AI semiconductors are a growth driver for Taiwan Semiconductor.

Nvidia briefly rose by 4%, hitting a new intraday high of $922.75, with a market value approaching $2.3 trillion; AMD's US stocks rose by about 1.4% in early trading, hovering around the historical high of $214.81 set on March 6th.
