# Apple "doubles down" in Shenzhen to expand its applied research lab to Shenzhen

On July 24th, Apple's Chief Operating Officer Jeff Williams visited the soon-to-be-launched Shenzhen Applied Research Laboratory. It is understood that this laboratory, together with the Shanghai Applied Laboratory expanded in March this year, will jointly support product reliability, quality, and material analysis, and deepen cooperation with local suppliers. This new laboratory will enhance testing and research capabilities for products such as iPhone, iPad, and Apple Vision Pro. In addition, Apple has research and development centers in Beijing, Shanghai, Suzhou, and Shenzhen
