# Tencent denies rumors of massive data breach by hackers: False, black industry uses historical data to piece together and fabricate information

After leaking the social security information of 2.7 billion American users on the dark web forum on August 6, a hacker named "Fenice" once again posted to expose that they have obtained information on 1.4 billion Tencent user accounts. The hacker claimed to have stolen a massive database, including 1.4 billion records related to Tencent.com, with a compressed data capacity of 44GB, which will expand to 500GB after decompression. QQ Security Center responded that over the past two years, similar false information has been repeatedly hyped by overseas hackers, with the data size continuously expanding, including versions of 700 million, 1.2 billion, 1.4 billion, etc., maliciously associated with multiple domestic internet products. The above information is not true, but rather fabricated by the black market using historical data and exaggeration, causing significant misinformation to the public
