# The probability of the Federal Reserve cutting interest rates by 25 basis points in September is 63.5%

According to CME's "FedWatch" tool on August 26th, the probability of the Fed cutting interest rates by 25 basis points in September is 63.5%, while the probability of a 50 basis point cut is 36.5%. The probability of the Fed cutting a total of 50 basis points by November is 36.7%, 75 basis points is 47.9%, and 100 basis points is 15.4%
