# Facing antitrust investigation, NVIDIA denies receiving a subpoena from the US Department of Justice

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, on Wednesday local time, NVIDIA (NVDA.US) denied reports of receiving a subpoena from the US Department of Justice regarding antitrust issues.

A representative from NVIDIA stated: "We have inquired with the US Department of Justice and have not received a subpoena." "Nevertheless, we are willing to answer any questions that regulatory agencies may have about our business."

Media reports on Tuesday claimed that NVIDIA had received a subpoena, leading to a drop in the stock price in after-hours trading. During regular trading on Tuesday, the chip manufacturer's stock price had already fallen by nearly 10%.

Although the reports did not specify the reasons why regulatory agencies are interested in NVIDIA, the company's recent rise is directly related to its dominant position in the data center artificial intelligence chip field, while competitors AMD and Intel began taking this field seriously several years ago.
