# Surging Power Demand in Data Centers: Google Signs Agreement with Nuclear Power Company

Google announced on Monday that it will purchase electricity from small modular reactor developer Kairos Power. More and more tech companies are turning to nuclear power to meet the growing energy needs of data centers.
