# Castle Securities: Trump's tariff increases are unlikely to affect the Federal Reserve's interest rate path

Durham Abric, responsible for U.S. inflation trading at Castle Securities, stated that the Federal Reserve's interest rate path is unlikely to be disrupted by the trade protectionist measures of the incoming Trump administration. Abric said, "The Federal Reserve may overlook the impact of tariffs, as monetary policy has little effect on temporary tariff-driven inflation."
