# 被印度反超，中国在美留学生数滑至第二

> 根据美国国务院赞助的国际教育协会的最新调查，2023-2024 学年，印度留学生在美人数达到 33.2 万，超越中国的 27.7 万，成为最大外国学生群体。印度留学生人数较上学年增加 23%，而中国留学生人数则减少 4%。这是中国留学生连续第四年下降，且首次在 15 年内被印度超越。

美国国务院赞助的国际教育协会 18 日发布最新年度调查数据显示，在 2023-2024 学年，共有 33.2 万名印度留学生在美国学习，而中国留学生的人数为 27.7 万人。相较上一学年，印度留学生增加了 23%，中国留学生减少了 4%。舆论关注到，中国在美留学生已连续第四年减少。香港《南华早报》称，中国留学生在很长一段时间内一直是美国最大的外国学生群体。2019-20 学年，有 37.3 万名中国学生在美国学习。但此后，中国留学生的数量逐年下降，并在 2023-2024 年的数据中，15 年来首次被印度反超。
