# Germany officially enters a "crisis jurisdiction" status. Why is the German stock market still maintaining a "strong advance"?

On the afternoon of the 16th local time in Germany, the German Bundestag discussed and voted on a motion of confidence for Chancellor Olaf Scholz. The result showed that the current Chancellor Scholz failed to gain the support of more than half of the members of the Bundestag, which means that the German election will be held early on February 23, 2025.
