# Hong Kong Stock Market Midday Review: Hang Seng Index rose by 0.23%, SMIC increased by nearly 5%

According to Jin10 data on January 15, Hong Kong stocks opened lower in the morning and then fluctuated upward, with the Hang Seng Index closing up 0.23% at 19,264.46 points; the Tech Index closed up 0.21% at 4,361.32 points. On the market, chip stocks and domestic bank stocks strengthened, with Douyin concept stocks leading the gains, while the department store and commercial aerospace sectors declined, and automotive stocks were sluggish. In terms of individual stocks, newly listed company New Ji'ao RV (00805.HK) surged 56.6%, UBTECH ROBOTICS (09880.HK) rose 10.5%, SMIC (00981.HK) increased 4.8%, Q TECH (01478.HK) rose 4.7%, and NetEase (09999.HK) increased 2.4%; Zijin Mining (02899.HK) fell over 5%, BYD Electronics (00285.HK) and WuXi AppTec (02359.HK) both fell 2.7%
