# Midday Review: The index surged in the morning and then fell back, with the big financial concept strengthening across the board

The index surged in the early session before retreating, with the ChiNext Index at one point rising over 2%. In terms of sectors, the large financial concept led the two markets, with insurance stocks leading the gains, and BIOCAUSE PHARMA hitting the daily limit; the ERP concept rose, with companies like LeiZhi Group hitting the daily limit; the AI sector collectively strengthened, with companies like Hand Enterprise and PuLian Software leading the gains; agricultural stocks were active, with the planting sector leading the gains, and WanXiang DeNong hitting the daily limit; the precious metals sector fluctuated lower, with ShanJin International experiencing significant declines; the automotive sector weakened, with DongFeng Co., Ltd. leading the declines. Overall, individual stocks showed a general upward trend, with over 4,400 stocks rising. As of the midday close, the Shanghai Composite Index reported 3,246.51 points, up 1.02%; the Shenzhen Component Index reported 10,271.26 points, up 0.44%; and the ChiNext Index reported 2,116.89 points, up 0.75%. On the market, insurance, ERP concepts, and ZhiPu AI sectors had the largest gains, while precious metals, Qinghai, and airport transportation sectors had the largest declines
