# Federal Reserve's Collins: FOMC does not have an urgency to further adjust policies

Susan Collins, President of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston: It is appropriate for the Federal Reserve to remain patient and cautious in its monetary policy.

There is no urgency for further adjustments (to the FOMC monetary policy).

The Federal Reserve will seek to downplay whether inflation expectations are anchored.

There is still a lot of uncertainty about how (President Trump's) policies will progress.

It is expected that widespread U.S. tariffs will affect prices in the U.S. itself.

The second-round (inflation) effects will be difficult to assess.

I believe the overall situation of the U.S. economy is good.

The labor market remains quite healthy
