# Hong Kong Stock Market Review: Hang Seng Index closed down 0.14%, chip stocks performed strongly throughout the day

According to Jinshi Data on February 19th, the Hong Kong stock market closed with the Hang Seng Index down 0.14% and the Hang Seng Tech Index up 0.59%. The total turnover of the Hang Seng Index reached HKD 262.567 billion (the previous trading day's turnover was HKD 338.626 billion). On the market, chip stocks performed strongly throughout the day, with Hua Hong Semiconductor (01347.HK) soaring 22%, SOLOMON SYSTECH (02878.HK) rising over 15%, and SMIC (00981.HK) increasing over 8%. Rare earth concept stocks, robotics concept stocks, and Apple concept stocks led the gains, while coal stocks, film and television stocks, logistics stocks, and game software stocks lagged. Weimob Group (02013.HK) rose over 13%, Dongfeng Motor Group Co., Ltd. (00489.HK) increased over 11%, Sunny Optical Technology (02382.HK) gained over 5%, XPeng (09868.HK) rose over 4%, while Hang Seng Bank (00011.HK) and Meituan (03690.HK) fell over 3%, and ZhongAn Online (06060.HK) and Kingsoft (03888.HK) dropped over 2%
