# "Trump 2.0" places more emphasis on U.S. Treasury bonds rather than U.S. stocks

Louis-Vincent Gave, the founder of the well-known investment research institution Gavekal Research based in Hong Kong, believes in his communication with Bank of America Merrill Lynch that:

U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and Elon Musk both mentioned that the top priority of the Trump administration is to ensure that long-term bond yields remain low. Unlike during the Trump 1.0 era, this time Trump did not mention the stock market much.
