# Macquarie Group Says Unified Industrial to Acquire Boustead Projects' Real Estate Business, Plans Launch of Real Estate Platform

Macquarie Group said Unified Industrial and Boustead Projects' real estate business, under Boustead Singapore, disclosed the formation of a Pan-Asian logistics real estate development, investment, and fund management platform called UIB, according to a Wednesday release.

Macquarie Asset Management's flagship real estate opportunistic fund series Macquarie Real Estate Partners invested in real estate investor and fund manager Unified Industrial in 2021.

As part of the deal, Unified Industrial will acquire the stake in Boustead Projects' real estate business for scrip in UIB. The final close of the transaction remains subject to certain closing conditions.

The UIB platform will target real estate opportunities in high-growth sectors, particularly in logistics and data centers, and is expected to have $3.5 billion of assets under management across Japan, China, Singapore, and Vietnam.
