# Global news you need to know before Monday's U.S. stock market opens

U.S. retail sales in February increased by 0.2% month-on-month, falling short of expectations, with the previous value significantly revised down. Trump stated he will have a call with Putin on Tuesday and will impose broad reciprocal tariffs on April 2, along with additional tariffs on specific industries.
