根据 Truist 证券的报告，Fastmarkets RISI 周三报道，Cascades 宣布自 4 月 21 日起对未涂布再生纸板（URB）价格上涨 70 美元/吨。报告指出，Cascades 是北美第四大 URB 生产商，按产能计算。

Truist 认为这一公告对 Sonoco Products（SON）和 Greif（GEF）是积极的。

Truist 表示：“虽然公司没有提供涨价的理由，但这一公告是在 SON 和 GEF 因市场条件收紧和制造成本通胀而进行近期涨价之后发布的..... RISI 之前指出，2 月份的 URB 需求与强劲的 1 月份条件持平或略有落后。”

它补充道：“与此同时，URB 产能正在进行合理化，GEF 宣布将关闭近 9 万吨的产能（Austell PM1 将在 3 月底前关闭；Fitchburg 工厂将在 5 月关闭），这相当于美国供应的 2.0-2.5%.... 关于原材料，尽管 OCC 同比下降近 36%，但包括运费、劳动力、维护和间接费用在内的其他成本仍然处于高位。”
