# U.S. stocks plummet at the market open: Nasdaq down 2.8%, Apple down about 4%, DuPont down about 11%

At the beginning of the US stock market, the Dow Jones fell by 2.4%, and the S&P 500 index fell by 2.5%. The Nasdaq Golden Dragon China Index fell by more than 4%. Technology stocks plummeted, with Tesla down about 3%. Chinese concept stocks generally fell, with Alibaba down about 9% and JD.com down about 9%. DuPont fell by about 11%, as DuPont China Group Co., Ltd. is suspected of violating antitrust laws, and the State Administration for Market Regulation has decided to file an investigation in accordance with the law. Data shows that the US non-farm payrolls increased by 228,000 in March, exceeding market expectations; with the rise in labor participation rate, the unemployment rate rose to 4.2%
