美国联邦通信委员会 (FCC) 於周五批准 Verizon Communications(VZ.US) 与 Frontier Communications Parent(FYBR.US) 的合并交易，该交易价值 200 亿美元。

FCC 在一份声明中表示，经过审查後认为该交易将符合公共利益、便利及必要性。FCC 主席布卡尔 (Brendan Carr) 表示，通过批准交易，FCC 确保美国人民能够从一系列良好的常识性胜利中受益。此交易将在全国各地的社区，包括美国农村，释放数十亿美元的新基础设施建设。该项投资将加速从旧的铜线网络过渡到现代的高频网络。
