高盛公司表示，衡量全球货币需求的一项关键指标显示，投资者对欧元融资的偏好正在上升。高盛的西蒙·弗雷塞内特（Simon Freycenet）和弗里德里希·沙佩尔（Friedrich Schaper）在一份报告中写道：“在欧元区历史上的大部分时间里，投资者一直在支付溢价以在交叉货币基差互换市场中获得美元融资。”“展望未来，我们的分析表明，欧洲央行的政策以及大西洋两岸的储蓄投资动态与基差随时间推移而上升，美元借款的溢价将变成折价。”
