# "Racing Towards a Trillion GDP City" Halfway Through: Wenzhou Ranks First in Total Volume, Xuzhou Leads in Growth Rate

The first-tier members of the "quasi-trillion cities" — Wenzhou, Dalian, and Xuzhou recently released their economic performance for the first half of the year, with GDP growth rates of 6.0%, 6.0%, and 6.2% respectively, all exceeding the national level of 5.3% and the growth rates of their respective provinces during the same period. As of 2024, mainland China has produced 27 trillion-yuan cities, with Wenzhou, Xuzhou, and Dalian following, all having a total economic output exceeding 950 billion. The three cities are determined to "cross the line" this year. (The Paper)
