# Major renovation adjustments in Shanghai's well-known shopping malls: Investment doubled, rebuilding thirty floors above ground in Xujiahui

The Shanghai LiuBai Urban Renewal Project located in Xujiahui has entered its second year of demolition and reconstruction and is now undergoing significant adjustments. On September 18th, reporters noted that Shanghai Xujiahui Mall Co., Ltd. released an announcement regarding adjustments to the company's major investment projects. According to the latest announcement, the total investment for the Shanghai LiuBai Urban Renewal Project has doubled from approximately 708 million yuan to about 1.698 billion yuan. This project, named "New LiuBai HUB," will have a total construction area of approximately 42,500 square meters after the adjustment, with thirty floors above ground and two underground, far exceeding the previously planned ten floors above ground. The "New LiuBai HUB" will also change the previous pure department store retail model and will create a comprehensive commercial entity that integrates "apartment-style hotels + brand flagship stores."
