# The semiconductor ETF rose by about 2.7%, leading the U.S. stock industry ETFs

On Wednesday (October 8), the semiconductor industry ETF rose by 2.68%, closing at $346.07, setting a new all-time high; the technology industry ETF, global technology stock index ETF, and internet stock index ETF all rose by at least 1.53%, while the biotechnology index ETF increased by 1%. The banking industry ETF, energy industry ETF, and regional bank ETF fell by up to 0.61%.

Among the 11 sectors of the S&P 500 index, the information technology/technology sector rose by 1.52%, while the energy sector fell by 0.57%
