SpaceX 首席执行官埃隆·马斯克在社交平台 X 上与网友交流时表示：“我相信星舰飞船会把人类送上火星。这条道路是清晰的。但真正重要的是确保意识的未来，而不仅仅是把一小部分人送上火星。这可能需要将超过 10 万人和 100 万吨货物运送到火星。要越过的关键门槛是，即使地球上的补给船因为任何原因停止到达火星，火星也能增长。”
