The Deputy Director of the Ethiopian Coffee and Tea Authority, Sharif Umar, stated that China has become Ethiopia's fourth largest importer of coffee, up from seventh place two years ago. In a recent interview, Umar mentioned that in the first quarter of the current Ethiopian fiscal year, Ethiopia exported approximately 9,470 tons of coffee to China, with a trade value of 65.49 million USD
