# Microsoft's pre-market shares rose nearly 5%, OpenAI signed a contract to purchase an additional $250 billion worth of Azure services

Microsoft's U.S. stock pre-market rose nearly 5% after Microsoft signed a new agreement with OpenAI. Microsoft stated that OpenAI has signed a contract to purchase an additional $250 billion worth of Azure services. Microsoft supports OpenAI in advancing the establishment of a Public Benefit Corporation (PBC). Microsoft holds an investment interest in OpenAI's group public welfare company valued at approximately $135 billion.
