This statement was made by Cook during Apple's Q4 earnings call for fiscal year 2025 this week. He also briefly introduced the latest progress on the next-generation AI-driven Siri, stating that the service is still planned for launch in 2026. "We are making good progress in this area, and as we previously disclosed, we expect to launch the new generation of Siri next year," Cook said in his opening remarks. During the meeting, an analyst asked Cook whether Apple is still adopting a "three-pronged" strategy in developing personalized AI — that is, combining Apple's self-developed foundational models, collaborating with third-party large language model (LLM) providers, and expanding capabilities through acquisitions.
