# Informed sources: Coinbase is in advanced negotiations to acquire the stablecoin infrastructure startup BVNK

According to informed sources, cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase is in advanced negotiations to acquire stablecoin infrastructure startup BVNK, with a deal size of approximately $2 billion, pending due diligence completion. Coinbase's venture capital arm, Coinbase Ventures, is already one of BVNK's investors. One informed source, who requested anonymity due to the transaction not being public, stated that the San Francisco-based Coinbase expects to complete the deal later this year or early next year. However, the terms of the deal may still be subject to adjustment, and there is a risk that the transaction could fall through
