# GATD assists in the milestone breakthrough of the fourth-generation nuclear power

According to GATD, on November 1st, the Chinese Academy of Sciences announced a significant breakthrough in China's fourth-generation nuclear energy technology. The 2-megawatt liquid fuel thorium-based molten salt experimental reactor, developed by the Shanghai Institute of Applied Physics under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, successfully achieved the "thorium-uranium" fuel cycle. In this breakthrough, GATD served as a key component supplier, providing solid support for the construction of national heavy equipment with its excellent manufacturing capabilities. The company stated that the significant breakthroughs in the fourth-generation nuclear energy technology field are inseparable from the preliminary development of key components, and the high-temperature alloy ring forgings both inside and outside the thorium reactor equipment were developed and produced by GATD
