# Morgan Stanley: Restores Zijin Mining "Overweight" Rating with a Target Price of HKD 46.1

According to the Zhitong Finance APP, Morgan Stanley has released a research report stating that it has resumed coverage of Zijin Mining (02899), giving it an "Overweight" rating with a target price of HKD 46.1. The bank pointed out that Zijin Mining's uniqueness lies in the growth of copper and gold production, as well as good cost control and attractive valuation.

The bank further stated that due to three major copper mine incidents occurring globally this year, which have led to production stoppages, it is expected that the copper supply-demand gap will further widen by 2026. Currently, there is significant upward potential for copper prices, and the bank is also optimistic about gold price trends, forecasting it to reach USD 4,500 per ounce by mid-next year
