# Hexagon Acquires US-Based Inertial Sense

Measurement technology company Hexagon has acquired American firm Inertial Sense in a deal where financial details remain undisclosed, according to a press release.

Utah-based Inertial Sense is a provider of GNSS and inertial navigation systems (GNSS+INS), generating annual revenues of approximately $5 million, equivalent to 48 million Swedish kronor. The acquisition is expected to broaden Hexagon's portfolio within positioning technology.

"The team at Inertial Sense has developed an impressive range of GNSS+INS solutions that meet our customers' demands for reliable positioning and integrate seamlessly into our product portfolio for the aerospace and defense sectors--while also opening up new opportunities in robotics and drone applications," said Anders Svensson, CEO of Hexagon.

The transaction is expected to be completed during the first half of 2026, pending customary regulatory approvals.
