# The NASDAQ Technology Index closed down more than 0.7%, the Semiconductor Index fell about 2.5%, and the Biotechnology Index rose more than 2.9%

The S&P 500 rose by 14.18 points, an increase of 0.21%, closing at 6846.61 points.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose by 559.33 points, an increase of 1.18%, closing at 47927.96 points.

The NASDAQ Composite Index fell by 58.874 points, a decrease of 0.25%, closing at 23468.301 points.

The NASDAQ 100 Index fell by 78.251 points, a decrease of 0.31%, closing at 23468.301 points
