# Federal Reserve official Kashkari: Inflation rate remains too high, employment faces pressure

Minneapolis Federal Reserve Bank President Neel Kashkari stated, "Inflation remains too high, currently around 3%."

Kashkari said in his opening remarks at a meeting of the Minneapolis Fed on Thursday, "Certain areas of the U.S. economy are performing well, but some sectors of the labor market are under pressure."
