# Lei Jun responds to doubts: "Safety above all," "There are many people online who take things out of context, distort and smear."

Lei Jun posted multiple Weibo messages, reiterating Xiaomi's automotive safety design philosophy. He stated that during an interview last April, when discussing product definition, he said, "A car, looks good is the first priority." Does this contradict "safety is fundamental, safety is a prerequisite"? Or in this interview, when I talked about design, I said the wheel hub is the most difficult to design, what's wrong with that?
